Stilbildend, innovativ, experimentierfreudig und dabei extrem musikalisch. All das trifft auf keinen besser zu als auf Mathieu Boogaerts, der uns seit Anfang an begeleitet. Nach seinem ruhigen und introvertierten Meisterwerk « Michel » war es für ihn Zeit sich stilistisch neu zu orientieren: Sein neues Album « I Love You » ist laut, tanzbar und rhythmusbetont. Durchaus ein radikaler Wechsel. Doch wer die frühen Songs von Boogaerts kennt, der wird sich nicht über diese Seite nicht wundern, denn zu Anfang seiner Karriere waren seine afrikanischen und jamaikanischen Einflüsse viel spürbarer als zuletzt. « Allez » ist eins seiner neuen Stücke, bei denen am deutlichsten wird, warum er trotz aller Veränderungen sich immer treu geblieben ist. Ein Link zwischen Boogaerts alt und Boogaerts neu.

Précurseur, novateur tout en étant très mélodieux… Ces qualités correspondent particulièrement à Mathieu Boogaerts, qui nous accompagne depuis nos débuts. Après « Michel », son chef-d‘oeuvre calme et introverti, il était temps pour lui de se réorienter : son nouvel album « I love you », aux rythmes soutenus, est enjoué et donne envie de danser. En soi un changement radical. Mais ceux qui connaissent les anciens morceaux de Boogaerts ne seront pas surpris : les influences africaines et jamaïcaines étaient incontestablement plus présentes au début de sa carrière. « Allez » est l´une de ces nouvelles chansons dans laquelle il apparaît clairement que, malgré tous ces changements, Boogaerts reste fidèle à lui-même. Comme un chaînon manquant entre l´ancien et le nouveau Boogaerts.
